Once exchange has been installed.....
Things to consider:
1st and most crucial for the process....
· The SSL MUST be issued by a trusted CA (ie: Godaddy)
· The SSL MUST be correct and match your external URL (ie: Remote.domain.com)

Bind The SSL to the Default Site:
Right click on the default website in IIS, select edit bindings,
and scroll down to https: port 443 and click the edit button on the right.

From the drop down menu, select the correct ssl purchased earlier.

In order for Autodiscover to work add a DNS A record . Internal and external

To Enable Autodiscover: (Above picture, Autodiscover already enabled,
Right hand side of image, Link Disable Outlook Anywhere,
if not enabled it will say Enable Outlook Anywhere)
Enable outlook anywhere... under Server Configuration > Client Access
Click enable outlook anywhere, follow wizard...

Make sure all of the external URL’s match the SSL certificate,
and authentication is NTLM.
PERMISSIONS
In IIS make sure the permissions on the virtual sites are as follows:
Auto discover

EWS

OAB

Owa

Rpc

RcpWithCert

This commands are very helpful, and I would advise running them, even after using the GUI...
Ge-clientAccessServer (shows you the server name)

Enable-OutlookAnywhere -Server servername -ExternalHostname " remote.domain.com" -DefaultAuthenticationMethod "Basic" -SSLOffloading:$False (enables Outlookanywhere)
Test-OutlookWebServices -ClientAccessServer " servername" (test Autodiscover)
Set-WebServicesVirtualDirectory -Identity servername\EWS* -ExternalUrl https://remote.domain.com/EWS/exchange.asmx - BasicAuthentication $true InternalUrl https://remote.domain.com/EWS/webservices.aspx
(Sets external URLS to match ssl)
Set-WebServicesVirtualDirectory -Identity servername\EWS* -ExternalUrl https://remote.domain.com/ews/exchange.asmx
